Weekly update for 26 July 2006
Dan and Anthony of King Lizard Yachts have constructed a large board in the workshop that looks like a drive in movie screen tilted the wrong way. The hull lines for the riverboat have now been drawn in full scale on the screen, an exacting task. Most of the hull timber has arrived and been machined to the
correct size.
Next week they will start to cut out the frames. These frames will then be set up in spaced intervals, upside down on the floor.
The hull will be constructed bending the plank across the frames, which act as a guide to the eventual shape of the hull.
The planking will be glued and screwed to each other to form a solid hull.
